Try your hand at these tips we have for your hand sketch to make it even better!Īs you can see just from your own hands, we can move them into many different positions and poses. Here’s how you can make your hand drawing even better… Have fun playing with colors and watch as the hand ultimately comes to life! Creating a skin tone color is easy and simple! Just mix the colors white, yellow, red, and blue.ĭepending on the complexion you’re trying to achieve, you may need to add more of a certain color. This also makes your drawing experience a lot more fun!Īs you can see in the illustration, we colored the hand using a customized skin tone color. You don’t want to accidentally erase any essential parts of the hand.Īfter successfully drawing a hand, here’s the most awaited part-coloring time! This is completely optional, but we recommend coloring your drawing to make your artwork colorful. Simply erase all the parts of the palm outline on each of the five fingers as well as the wrist.īy getting rid of these lines, the fingers and the wrist would look like it’s directly connected to the palm-as how it should really be!īe careful when erasing some lines from the outline. In this final step, we will be polishing up our hand drawing. Make sure to keep these lines thin to make it appear more natural. To create the lines, draw a few lines on the palm and one line for the joints on each finger. These lines are called palmar flexion creases, a distinctive physical feature that we develop even before birth. The hand typically has lines all over it, especially across the palm and on all five fingers. Step 8 – Add Lines on the Palm and the Fingers The gap in between the lines should be how wide you want the wrist to be-the bigger the gap, the wider the wrist. This forms the wrist, which is the part of the body that connects the hand with the arm. Step 7 – Draw the Wrist of the Handĭraw two short vertical lines right underneath the palm. Now, all five fingers on the hand are complete at last. The thumb should have a bit wider form compared to the other four fingers. Step 6 – Afterwards, Draw the Thumbįinalize the hand by adding the thumb affixed on the right side edge of the palm. Now, all it’s missing is the thumb, which we’ll be drawing on the next step. Bear in mind that the index finger should be as tall as the ring finger.Īt this point, all four fingers directly above the palm should be complete. Step 5 – Now, Draw the Index Fingerĭraw another finger on the rightmost part at the top of the palm. So, make sure to keep that in mind when drawing the fingers.Īfter finishing this step, the palm should now have three fingers attached to it. Remember, the middle finger is the tallest of all five fingers. To create the middle finger, draw an upside down U-shaped curve right beside the ring finger. Keep in mind that the ring finger should be relatively taller than the little finger. This forms the ring finger right beside the little finger. Step 3 – Next, Draw the Ring Fingerĭraw another inverted U-shaped line on the right side of the first one we drew in the previous step. This forms the little finger-the smallest finger-directly connected to the palm. Step 2 – Draw the Little Fingerĭraw an elongated inverted U-shaped line on the upper leftmost side of the palm. Since this is only an outline, avoid pressing down too hard with your pencil so we can easily remove some parts of the outline that we no longer need later on. Remember, draw with a gentle grip and light stroke when drawing the shape of the palm. The top part of the figure should be slightly diagonal while the bottom part is rounded. Start by drawing an uneven circle shape on the bottom portion of your paper. Have fun and use your artistic skills to draw a realistic-looking hand! How to Draw a Hand – Let’s get started! Step 1 What’s more, we have created illustrations to accompany each instruction, making the process a lot easier for you to follow. We have curated a step-by-step tutorial on how to draw a hand, summarized in 9 easy and simple steps. Our hand is what we use to hold things and get things done, so it is a very important part of the human’s body. Now, we will be learning how to draw a hand with five fingers. The key to drawing a human character is to learn how to draw its physical features one by one first.

Blood is everywher e.ĮXODUS 7:21 … there was blood thoughout all the land of Egypt.ĮXODUS 7:20. PAPYRUS 2:5-6 Plague is throughout the land. As, prior to the publication of Worlds in Collision and Ages in Chaos, no parallels had been drawn between the Bible and the text of the Papyrus Ipuwer, the translator of the papyrus could not have been influenced by a desire to make his translation resemble the biblical text. I shall compare some passages from the Book of Exodus and from the papyrus. The papyrus of Ipuwer contains evidence of some natural cataclysm accompanied by earthquakes and bears witness to the appearance of things as they happened at that time. The royal residence would be overthrown “in a minute” and left in ruins…. The noise and the tumult were produced by the earth. PAPYRUS 6:1 Oh, that the earth would cease from noise, and tumult (uproar) be no more. Earthquakes are often accompanied by loud sounds, subterranean rumbling and roaring, and this acoustic phenomenon gives the name to the upheaval itself.Īpparently the shaking returned again and again, and the country was reduced to ruins, the state went into sudden decline, and life became unbearable. What do “noise” and “years of noise” denote? The translator wrote: “There is clearly some play upon the word hrw (noise) here, the point of which is to us obscure.” Does it mean “earthquake” and “years of earthquake”? In Hebrew the word raash signifies “noise”, “commotion”, as well as “earthquake”. Upper Egypt has become dry (wastes?).ħ:4 The residence is overturned in a minute.Ĥ:2 … Years of noise. PAPYRUS 2:8 Forsooth, the land turns round as does a potter’s wheel.Ģ:11 The towns are destroyed. The papyrus is a script of lamentations, a description of ruin and horror. It is the Egyptian version of a great catastrophe. The Papyrus Ipuwer is not a collection of proverbs… or riddles no more is it a literary prophecy… or an admonition concerning profound social changes. In accordance with this interpretation, the papyrus containing the words of Ipuwer is called, in the Gardiner edition, Admonitions of an Egyptian Sage. Because the introductory passages of the papyrus, where the author and his listeners would be likely to be mentioned, are missing, the presence of the king listening to the sage is assumed on the basis of the preferred form of certain other literary examples of the Middle Kingdom. “The Almighty”, to whom Ipuwer directs his words, is a customary appellation of great gods. Gardiner… interprets the text as though the words of a sage name Ipuwer were directed to some king, blaming him for inactivity which has brought confusion, insecurity, and suffering to the people. “It is no merely local distrubance that is here described, but a great and overwhelming national disaster.” Invaders preyed upon the defenceless population the rich were stripped of everything and slept in the open, and the poor took their possessions. Egypt was in distress the social system had become disorganized violence filled the land. Gardiner argued that all the internal evidence of the text points to the historical character of the situation. Gardiner under the title, The Admonitions of an Egyptian Sage from a Hieratic Papyrus in Leiden. In 1909 the text, translated anew, was published by Alan H. Of the first page only a third - the left or last part of eleven lines - is preserved pages 9 to 16 are in veery bad condition - there are but a few lines at the top and bottom of the pages - and of the seventeenth page only the beginning of the first two lines remains. The text of Ipuwer is now bolded into a book of seventeen pages, most of them containing fourteen lines of hieratic signs (a flowing writing used by the scribes, quite different from pictorial hieroglyphics). A facsimile copy of both texts was published by the authorities of the museum together with other Egyptian documents. The face (recto) and the back (verso) are differentiated by the direction of the fiber tissues the story of Ipuwer is written on the face, on the back is a hymn to a deity. In 1828 the papyrus was acquired by the Museum of Leiden or Rijksmuseum van Oudheden in the Netherlands and is listed in the catalogue as Leiden 344. According to its first possessor (Anastasi), it was found in “Memphis”, by which is probably meant the neighborhood of the pyramids of Saqqara. “It is not known under what circumstances the papyrus containing the words of Ipuwer was found. The results so far are mixed: some results suggest that ex vivo expansion reduces the time taken for new blood cells to appear in the body after transplantation however, adult patients still appear to need blood from two umbilical cords. Several preliminary clinical trials using this technique are underway. Much research is focused on trying to increase the number of HSCs that can be obtained from one cord blood sample by growing and multiplying the cells in the laboratory. Some researchers have also tried to increase the total number of HSCs obtained from each umbilical cord by collecting additional blood from the placenta. Results of clinical trials into double cord blood transplants (in place of bone marrow transplants) have shown the technique to be very successful. This serious complication has been partially overcome by transplanting blood from two umbilical cords into larger children and adults. A transplant containing too few HSCs may fail or could lead to slow formation of new blood in the body in the early days after transplantation. Scientists believe this is the main reason that treating adult patients with cord blood is so difficult: adults are larger and need more HSCs than children. No therapies for non-blood-related diseases have yet been developed using HSCs from either cord blood or adult bone marrow.Ī major limitation of cord blood transplantation is that the blood obtained from a single umbilical cord does not contain as many haematopoeitic stem cells as a bone marrow donation. Cord blood can also only be used to treat blood diseases. Current studies are being done to expand a single cord blood unit for use in adults. Clinical trials using "double cord blood transplantation" for adults have demonstrated outcomes similar to use of other sources of HSCs, such as bone marrow or mobilized peripheral blood. Treatment of adults with cord blood typically requires two units of cord blood to treat one adult. However, cord blood transplants also have limitations. This means that cord blood does not need to be as perfectly matched to the patient as bone marrow (though some matching is still necessary). It also seems to be less likely than bone marrow to cause immune rejection or complications such as Graft versus Host Disease. It is easier to collect than bone marrow and can be stored frozen until it is needed. In this way, cord blood offers a useful alternative to bone marrow transplants for some patients. The cord blood is transplanted into the patient, where the HSCs can make new, healthy blood cells to replace those damaged by the patient’s disease or by a medical treatment such as chemotherapy for cancer. Cord blood is used to treat children with cancerous blood disorders such as leukaemia, or genetic blood diseases like Fanconi anaemia. |
